Adil A Mohammed
Adil A. Mohammed, M.D., is a board-certified Psychiatrist in General Psychiatry, committed to providing the highest standards of care for a wide variety of clients with diverse needs. He received his medical degree from Saint Petersburg State Medical Academy. In 2010, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine Program, Bronx, New York. In August 2013, he completed Psychiatry Residency Training at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was involved in teaching medical students during his residency period. He has received an award for his scholarly achievement during his residency training. Dr. Mohammed has many years of clinical experience working in Outpatient, Inpatient, and Consultation-Liaison settings. He has been the CEO and Medical Director of Harmony United Psychiatric Care since 2014. He had been on staff at several hospitals in Lake, Sumter, and Alachua County, including Leesburg Regional Hospital Center (LRMC), The Villages Regional Hospital (TVRH), and North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC). He also served as the Medical Director of the Inpatient Behavioral Health Units at NFRMC and LRMC. He has extensive experience working with clients of all ages, especially the geriatric population, at outpatient clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Dr. Mohammed credits his strong clinical judgment to his diverse clinical experience and his excellent clinical training. Alecia Cottrell
Alecia Cottrell, RCSWI, is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI). She is a recent graduate of Florida State University with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work. She also holds a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University (specializing in behavioral studies and investigations) and an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Texas A&M – Central Texas. She is an Army veteran of 14 years where she served as a Medic and Pharmacy Non-Commissioned Officer and was honored by being selected as a Cadet Basic Training Instructor at West Point, New York, in 2006 and the operations and logistics Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge for Pharmacy Services in Tikrit, Iraq in 2010. She has more than ten years of experience in working with those who experience homelessness, veterans, diverse indigent populations, those who are experiencing substance abuse and dependency, multi-generational families, and children who have been exposed to abuse and neglect. Alecia has experience in case management and investigations which has allowed her to advocate for the most vulnerable in complex systems. Alecia is a native of Alachua County, FL. She is passionate about normalizing therapy in underserved populations and connecting individuals to community resources that promote overall well-being and mental health stability. She continues to have the goal of encouraging therapeutic successes by providing a non-judgmental and empathetic environment and using client-centered therapy to empower clients to achieve long-term therapeutic goals.
Zakira Causevic
Zakira Causevic, RCSWI, is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI). She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from the University of South Florida. Zakira is bilingual (English- Bosnian) speaking. She worked for over 20 years and possesses experience in the social field, serving individuals, families, and veterans from ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns. Zakira’s counseling style is interactive, empathetic, compassionate, and warm. She provides a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment that encourages the development of insight and growth. She believes in a holistic approach to treating the whole person, as everyone is unique and has the experience that requires a unique journey toward achieving the most fulfilling life. Yoneka Powell
Yoneka Powell is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She first earned an Associate of Arts in Nursing at Santa Fe College, where she graduated in 2009. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida A&M University where she graduated Cum Laude in 2011. She initially wanted to be a critical care nurse, but after taking a position as a mental health nurse at UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital, she ended up staying in the mental health field. After a year of working in the mental health field, she pursued her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree at the University of South Alabama. She completed the clinical experience for her Master’s at UF Health Shands Springhill – Gainesville FL, Park Place Behavioral – Kissimmee FL, and Aspire Health Partners – Orlando FL. She has 10+ years of working experience in the mental health field as an RN on inpatient units as well as a traveling mental health nurse.
Victoria Johnson
Victoria Johnson, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Psychologist. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and will soon earn her Doctor of Psychology in July 2022 from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida. She has 7 years of experience, including outpatient therapy, college counseling, assessment, and inpatient therapy. Her clinical focus involves trauma, relationship issues, and personality disorders. Thea Henry, RCSWI, is currently a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. Thea is a two-time graduate of Florida State University, holding a bachelor’s in Psychology and Social Work, and a master’s in social work. She has worked with an array of populations including those in gerontology, crisis stabilization, substance misuse, and more recently perinatal and postpartum mothers. Thea has a passion for supporting and helping others through many of life’s challenges.
Takojia Walters
Takojia Walters, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor. She graduated from Capella University with her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2015. She earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Phoenix, Arizona. Amy Zecevic
Amy E Zecevic, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified PsychiatricMental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1993 at Central Philippine University; and completed her Master of Science in Nursing specializing in psychiatry from Walden University in 2019. Amy has been practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the outpatient setting since March 2020, treating clients with a wide spectrum of mental health conditions. She has decades of nursing career underpinned her clinical experience, more extensively in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Medical-Surgical, Oncology, and Pediatric units. Susan Davis
Susan Davis received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida. She completed her doctoral degree with a focus on diagnostic assessment. She has experience diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of cognitive disorders, including neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injury, and stroke. Dr. Davis also has extensive experience with psychoeducational assessments required by Florida schools and universities, including learning disorders and ADHD. In addition, she is experienced in treating emotional, behavioral, and cognitive disorders. She has worked in the community for over 10 years, working with all disciplines in a comprehensive approach dedicated to mental wellness and rehabilitation.

Anna Stouffer, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida. She continued her education at the University of South Florida earning her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner, then received her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Florida State University. Sherry Roberts
Sherry Roberts is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, MSN, PMHNP-BC, with 25 years of psychiatric nursing experience. She graduated with a BSN from Central Methodist University in Missouri and earned her MSN from Walden University in Minnesota. Sherry’s professional experience includes caring for inpatients in both community mental health and private mental health hospitals in Florida. Before moving to Florida, she worked at an inpatient state mental health center in Missouri. Sherry has a compassionate and caring approach to her patients and believes that the mind-body connection has a powerful impact on our overall well-being. Sherri Anglin
Sherri Anglin, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her bachelors from Northwestern State University, Louisiana. She earned her masters from the University of Wyoming Laramie. She has made it her life’s mission to guide her patients through their struggles with mental health. Throughout her life, she learned many things, including compassion, empathy, and how to listen and really hear what her patients are saying. This allows her to use all her knowledge in psychopharmacology to improve the quality of life of her patients. In fact, her career in healing and helping others began as a Registered Nurse, and after seeing all the people in need of mental health treatment, she was inspired to pursue a career in Mental Health. This inspiration led her to the University of Wyoming, where she obtained a master’s degree in Psychiatry. Since graduation, she has had the privilege of providing psychiatric care to many different ages and cultures throughout the United States and has grown with each patient encounter. Scott Berg
Scott Berg has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2016. He graduated Cum laude with a BA in psychology from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, FL. He received his Master of Social Work in Advanced Practice from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, FL. Scott has over a decade of experience serving residents of Lake and Sumter counties. He completed his clinical internship at Cornerstone Hospice, where he provided respite care and bereavement groups. Renee S. Blate
Renee S. Blate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 37+ years of experience in the field of mental health. Renee is a uniquely experienced clinician who obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, where she graduated Magna Cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and then attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, obtaining her Master’s in Social Work. From there, she began her career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, instructor, and supervisor, working in numerous positions, including inpatient and outpatient counseling, community mental health, adolescent school counseling, and more – all while simultaneously maintaining a private practice providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families in Miami, Florida. Christopher Leitten
Christopher Leitten, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and Neuropsychologist. He received his doctorate in Health Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami’s Department of Behavioral Medicine. He completed his internship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia with a focus on Physical Medicine/Rehabilitation and Neuropsychology. He went on to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia under the direction of a diplomate in neuropsychology and past president of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Leitten helped develop neuropsychological test instruments focusing on the assessment of dementia, as well as novel neuropsychological testing that assesses a variety of cognitive domains and/or disorders. Dr. Leitten has worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including community hospitals, rehabilitation/nursing centers, and assisted living facilities. He has experience diagnosing dementia, cognitive decline, stroke/cerebrovascular accidents, head trauma, learning disorders, and ADHD. Dr. Leitten has treated individuals with cognitive decline, depression, anxiety disorders (e.g., panic, generalized anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms), sleep problems, and chronic pain. He also has helped patients adjust to their illness or injury, and deal with health-related lifestyle problems. Rachel Simmons
Rachel Simmons, APRN, Ph.D., DNP, PMHNP-BC, WHNP-BC, ANP-BC, IBCLC, MSN, is board certified in Psychiatric Mental Health, Women’s Health, and Adult Medicine Practitioner. Rachel graduated cum laude with an undergraduate in Sociology and two Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees from the College of Mount St. Joseph. Rachel possesses a post-masters degree specializing in Adult Medicine (18+). Cristina Dureza
Cristina Dureza, APRN, PMHNP-BC earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Iloilo Doctor’s College, Philippines, and graduated from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN with a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in psychiatry. She has clinical training and experience in the holistic care of patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan at the Senior Behavioral Unit, University of Florida Health- Leesburg Hospital; LifeStream Behavioral Centers; and private psychiatric clinics. She has worked for more than 25 years as a registered nurse in various clinical areas including Psychiatric, Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Dialysis, Neurology, Critical Care, and OR. Melissa Tamayo
Melissa Tamayo is a Certified Physician Assistant who graduated with Highest Honors from Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s degree in Medical Science. Prior to attaining this degree, she worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant in Tampa, Florida, while pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology at the University of South Florida. During her medical studies at Nova Southeastern University, she was trained in various disciplines of medicine, including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry, to name a few. While training, she developed a passion for psychiatry, realizing that this is an important yet often underserved field of medicine. Melissa Santiago
Dr. Melissa Santiago received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University in Tampa, Florida. She went on to complete a two-year postdoctoral residency focusing on neuropsychology. Dr. Santiago has experience in providing neuropsychological and psychological assessments to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Her clinical interest includes but is not limited to, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases, anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. Additionally, she has received certified training in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). Dr. Efrain Mendez, M.D., is a Board Eligible, Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish) Psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in the field of General Psychiatry and 30 years of overall medical experience. He graduated from medical school in 1991 from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He completed his Residency Training in General Psychiatry at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Cornell University, in 2007. After completing his residency, he worked in Brooklyn, NY as an outpatient psychiatrist, before coming to Florida a year later, where he has been practicing since.
