ames Porter, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing at Eastern Kentucky University. Before becoming a nurse in 2014, he worked ten years in Public Health after earning his bachelor’s degree. He is licensed to treat patients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. He has experience in both medical and behavioral health. As a Nurse Practitioner, he has worked in state psychiatric hospitals treating the most severe, chronic mental illnesses. He is also comfortable in the outpatient setting seeing patients of all ages, especially children and adolescents. He is committed to providing the best possible treatment for his patients so they may live happier, healthier life.
