Christopher Leitten, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and Neuropsychologist. He received his doctorate in Health Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami’s Department of Behavioral Medicine. He completed his internship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia with a focus on Physical Medicine/Rehabilitation and Neuropsychology. He went on to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia under the direction of a diplomate in neuropsychology and past president of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Leitten helped develop neuropsychological test instruments focusing on the assessment of dementia, as well as novel neuropsychological testing that assesses a variety of cognitive domains and/or disorders. Dr. Leitten has worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including community hospitals, rehabilitation/nursing centers, and assisted living facilities. He has experience diagnosing dementia, cognitive decline, stroke/cerebrovascular accidents, head trauma, learning disorders, and ADHD. Dr. Leitten has treated individuals with cognitive decline, depression, anxiety disorders (e.g., panic, generalized anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms), sleep problems, and chronic pain. He also has helped patients adjust to their illness or injury, and deal with health-related lifestyle problems. In addition to working with individuals, Dr. Leitten has provided consultation to major manufacturers, corporations, and recruiters to perform pre-employment cognitive and psychological testing. His additional skills in this role include vocational rehabilitation, career counseling, and career interest testing.
